Learn about my latest work!

Welcome to my Portfolio Page! I’m Adyn Polen, a graphic designer and illustrator who loves bringing characters, illustrations, and animations to reality. I really enjoy creating work that feels meaningful and full of personality.  My projects often explore themes of connection, emotion, and identity, and I aim to make visuals that people can relate to and enjoy. This portfolio is a collection of work I’m proud of, showing how I bring ideas to life with creativity and care.

My Recent Projects:

Project 1

  • Children’s Book Page

  • This digital illustration was created as part of a project to design a double sided page for a children’s book. I was given a bit of creative freedom so I chose to incorporate features that I would have loved to see as a kid. The elements I chose help bring the story to life while highlighting it’s central theme, the love and connection between two men. The final piece reflects my interest in inclusive storytelling and my desire to design creative work that feels warm, imaginative, and meaningful to young readers!

Project 2

  • A Tail of Two

  • This project involved developing a short cast of fully rigged characters along with a range of background and scene assets. After creating these assets I was tasked with producing descriptive and visually clear storyboards to map out the narrative flow and guide the animation/plot. My process concluded with me editing a short video episode that featured my characters in motion, using the assets I made to bring the story to life. This project allowed me to combine character design, world-building, storytelling, and a whole lot of video editing into one cohesive animated piece!

Project 3

  • Rigging Character Creation and Audio-Based Video Creation

  • This project required me to design and build a fully rigged character with a simple but recognizable look. I spent a considerable time refining the base shape to create a clear, identifiable silhouette and ensuring that all movements felt smooth, natural, and believable. In the final stage I animated and refined each asset within the character’s design so that his motions and reactions aligned with a provided audio clip. This involved carefully syncing gestures, expressions, and timing to bring the character to life in a convincing and engaging way!
